Introduction

My certification path starts when Microsoft says whoever get MCP status by 30th of June 1998 will be given a "cool blue denim shirt". I took the exam just to get the shirt (even though until now I still have not wear it yet - oversize !) and then I say, hey, why not continue ? The table above shows what I have been through for the pass few months. Not bad huh ?

Another push is from my boss. He says that how much time you going to take to get certified through self study ? ( I have choose not to go for classes because I need to payback later on - and I don't want that.) This is to prove to him that even though I did not take any classes, I can achieve what I want within a short period -- proven again ! Thanks to all the study sites people put out here !

Self study Tips

To show my appreciation, this is my contribution to those who want to follow my footsteps. Self study is NOT EASY. If you've been through you'll know & agreed with me. If you want to do self study, the following is some tips for you.

- Get a good study material that suites your reading styles. Listern to the recommandations about the content but choose only if you find it helps.

- Have a study schedule ready and follow it as close as possible.

- Browse the Internet for study resources. Not necessary commercial or nicely decorated is the best. Simple but full of information is more important. to help you start off, I have list some sites that helps me. You can use it as a foundation.

- Practice, practice, practice ! Do a lot of simulation questions. It will help you not only familiarize with the question style, but will also improve your knowledge on the subject matter. If you have budget, you may want to buy some test, else get as many questions as you can thru browsing ( you will spend more money online but SAVE on test questions you purchase from vendors. ) There are pro and cons, up to you to decide.

- Either the questions you bought or get from sites like mine, VERIFY the answer. DO NOT memorized the answer, UNDERSTAND it. Sometimes the questions might looks the same, but they CAN have totally different answers.
